My name is Natalie Fern and I am currently training to become a Home Inspector for the Home Information Pack that comes into place on the 1st June 2007.

I'm training through a company called HIT (Home Inspector Training) which is a sister company to hiphiphooray.com (a pack provider for the HIP)this is the company who i will provide reports for.

At the moment I am looking at becoming a Domestic Energy Assessor for when the HIP starts in June - but in the long run my hopes are to pass all my exams and become a full time Home Inspector for which I will be able provide Home Condition Reports and Energy Performance Certificates.

The qualification I will gain through my training is a Diploma in Home Inspection (this qualification places a Home Inspector along side a pass degree, Highest HND and above NVQ for Managers.)

So far this year I have passed my first 2 exams and should be looking at doing my 3rd exam soon after Easter. When I have passed my module 3 at HIT I can then look at sitting my RdSAP exam to gain my qualification as a Domestic Energy Assessor, I hope to be passed as a Home Inspector by September 2007.

I am currently starting a website called www.homeinspector-eastmidlands.co.uk (also www.homeinspectoreastmidlands.co.uk) so keep an eye open for updates on my website.
